For safe homes and warm hearts
For safe homes and warm hearts
A clean chimney means a warmer, safer and more efficient fire—perfect for those cosy nights in.
Using the latest Rota-Rods power sweeping equipment, you get a more deeper and efficient clean over old-fashioned brush methods. It’s not just cleaner—it’s better for your home, your chimney and your peace of mind.
On completion of every sweep a swept chimney certificate is issued indicating Standards compliance status, often required for insurance, landlords and stove guarantees.
When it comes to fire safety and home comfort, nothing is left to chance. We are insurance approved with the Chimney Sweep Academy and hold a clear Disclosure and Barring Certificate (DBS). This ensures that every service provided meets the highest industry standards, giving you complete confidence in your chimney's safety and performance and for your peace mind.
We offer expert advice on a range of important issues and the issued certificate complies with the National Standard Certificate of Completion; suitable for meeting insurance requirements for a regularly swept chimney.
To make things easy for our customers, we operate a fully digital service—streamlining everything from job records to certificate issue and invoicing. No paperwork, no hassle—just fast, efficient service.
We set up with industry-standard gear and a ‘leave no mess’ approach, so your room stays clean and protected the whole time we’re sweeping.
Our sealed power sweep combines Rota Rods with a HEPA-grade vacuum for maximum efficiency in removing soot and debris
A final deep clean and inspection of the fire box and grate to ensure all parts are operationally functional.
Our stove cleaning products are non-toxic and free from fumes, odours, and smoke — safely lifting away dust, ash, carbon, fingerprints, and dirt to restore that 'Back to Black' finish.
Fire bricks play a key role in protecting your stove. Regularly checking and replacing any damaged ones helps keep your stove performing efficiently and lasting longer.
You can see the new fire brick fitted here — it helps the stove burn more efficiently, gives off better heat, and adds an extra layer of protection.

Chimney sweeping in the UK is guided by professional trade bodies and nationally recognised qualifications rather than a single government standard. As a trained member of the Chimney Sweep Academy, I follow strict industry codes of practice, hold the appropriate insurance, and provide certification to ensure all work is carried out safely and to a professional standard.
Chimney cleaning is important to remove creosote build-up, debris and other blockages, which can cause chimney fires and to ensure proper ventilation and air quality.
It is recommended to have your chimney cleaned and inspected at least once a year. Quarterly if there is heavy use.
We are non-VAT registered so we do not charge VAT. Prices listed are what is charged.
To provide the best service prior to your appointment we ask that you:
On completion of the sweep (and additional on site work) we will let you know how it went, itemise your invoice and advise on any further requirements or observations. All payments are contactless and settled by electronic payment before we depart.
A clean job is our top priority! We use professional, modern equipment including dust sheets, HEPA-grade vacuums and sealed sweeping methods—to ensure your home stays spotless. We treat every property with care and always clean up thoroughly after the job.
Yes, someone needs to be in to let us in and make payment on completion.
Yes, we hold £5 million public liability cover for your protection and peace of mind.
At any time during our visit we observe an issue concerning the safe operation of your fire/appliance we will discuss this with you. Depending upon the nature of the issue it may or may not be possible for us to resolve it. In the event of the latter, the certificate will be annotated ''Appliance not fit for purpose' with the reason(s) recorded and any further recommendations.
To get the best out of your wood burner, the burn temperature should be between 260-460 Degrees C.
Store and stack your logs so they are well ventilated. Wood should be at 20% moisture or less.
Use a stove thermometer to monitor the operating temperature and stove fan to circulate the heat.
Do fit a Carbon Monoxide alarm. It won't make your fire burn brighter but is an important safety feature for your home.
Before the start of the season and and if your stove hasn't been used for a prolonged period to remove any built up blockages.
It is not recommended! Burning wood and coal together creates a highly acidic and corrosive residue that is damaging and a fire hazard. Best burn wood and coal separately.
